DESCRIPTION:024 FOLSOM PRO RODEO VOLUNTEER INFORMATION \nWelcome volunteers! We appreciate your support of Folsom’s favorite patriotic\, family fun tradition! \nWe have some details to help you prepare for a great volunteer experience. \nPARKING \nOption 1: We offer free parking at Theodore Judah Elementary School (101 Dean Way\, Folsom\, CA 95630). There is \na limited number of spaces\, and it is a first come first served basis. \nPrint your parking pass: Parking Pass HERE \nOption 2: Uber & Lyft. You can arrive and leave on your own timetable. \nOption 3: Paid parking is available at the arena if you choose to park closer. Parking onsite is $15 and is at your \nown expense. \nCHECK-IN \n• The volunteer check-in tent is located to the right of the main gate on the upper level. You will not be able \nto get in the bottom gate. \n• Please arrive 30 minutes before your shift to allow time for parking\, checking in\, and finding your volunteer \nlocation. \nStart times: (subject to change) \n• Volunteer Check-In 3:00 – 8:00pm \n• Parking 3:30 – 8:30pm \n• Saloon Table Monitor 6:00 – 10:00pm or 8:00pm – 12:00am \n• Cantina Table Monitor 6:00 – 10:00pm \n• All Beverage Booths/Bars 4:30 – 10:00pm \n• Upper Gates 4:30 – 9:30pm \n• Lower Gates 4:30 – 10:00pm \n• Ushers 4:00 – 10:00pm \n• Sponsor & Volunteer Hospitality 4:00 – 10:00pm \nBREAKS \nVolunteers scheduled for shifts lasting 4 hours or more will receive a 30-minute break. However\, for shifts shorter \nthan 4 hours\, breaks will not be provided. \n• The volunteer rest area is located behind the hospitality area at the top of the arena near the upper gate. \n• Each volunteer will receive one meal voucher per night. You can redeem this voucher in the volunteer rest \narea. You must have your voucher to get your food and drink. \n• Your break is 30 minutes\, and we ask that you promptly return to your position in order to allow other \nvolunteers their break time.• This year the volunteer meals will be provided by Erik’s DeliCafe (3rd)\, Chick-Fil-A (4th)\, TBD (5th)\, and TBD \n(6th). \nFAMILY MEMBERS \nIf you have a friend or family member who wants to attend\, they will need to purchase a ticket. Access to the event \ncannot be granted to anyone without a ticket while you’re volunteering. \nDRESS CODE \nJoin us for a Volunteer T-Shirt pickup party at Handley’s Western Wear & Tonno’s Sports Bar & Grill\, located at 314 \nE. Bidwell Street on JUNE 26th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. Enjoy live music\, dinner\, and complimentary beverages as \na thank you to all volunteers. Handley’s will be offering an exclusive 20% discount on their entire store for \nvolunteers to get you RODEO ready! \nIf you cannot attend the volunteer party\, you can pick up your shirt during check-in at the Rodeo grounds for your \nshift. Please plan to arrive early if you choose this option. \n• You’ll be given a volunteer T-shirt to wear for your shift. You must wear the shirt for the whole shift. \n• Shorts are perfectly acceptable. \n• We suggest wearing comfortable shoes as you will be on your feet most of the time. \n• You may want to bring a light jacket\, as the evenings can sometimes be chilly. \nCROWD CONTROL \nWe are fortunate that there are very few security issues with this event. If you have any concerns\, notify the lead \nvolunteers in your area\, our security team\, or Folsom PD. The Folsom Police Department has officers on duty each \nnight at the rodeo and they are well equipped to handle any issues. \nVOLUNTEER ASSIGNMENTS \nBEVERAGE BOOTH TEAM MEMBERS \n• The beverage booths will sell beer\, canned cocktails\, wine\, soft drinks\, and water. \n• Prices will be posted at all bars. \n• Our permit to sell alcohol has some restrictions and we ask that you use your good common sense in \nworking in the booth. \no If the person attempting to purchase the beer looks under thirty\, ask for some identification. \nAcceptable identification is a valid driver’s license or other identification issued by the Department \nof Motor Vehicles. \no If a person cannot produce an acceptable ID\, DO NOT sell alcohol to them. \no 21+ wristbands will be available at each beverage booth and at the front gates. \no You cannot sell an individual more than two beers at a time. \nThis means that an individual purchaser cannot carry more than two beers away from the booth at any \none time. However\, the purchaser can pay for as many as he or she wants and hand them to other \nadults accompanying them – if they are over 21. \no Our license also states that: Volunteers are prohibited from consuming alcoholic beverages \nwhile working.
